Following the closure of The Macfarlane Trust, we're supporting those living with and affected by HIV as a result of the Contaminated Blood Scandal.
Presently, we're offering the following support:
- A friendly and supportive point of contact (see below) – someone who you can trust to understand your circumstances, and to lean on if the going gets tough.
- Our telephone helpline THT Direct, which offers expert practical support for living with HIV including welfare and benefits advice. Call us on 0808 802 1221, which is free from all UK landlines and most major mobile networks, and it won’t appear on your telephone bill.
- Our well-established and successful Work Positive programme, available online, can assist with gaining new skills and help returning to work or finding a new direction after a period of ill-health.
- Specialist counselling services are available and we can organise and pay for assessment and diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder, enabling you to then access payment for therapy through the relevant contaminated blood support scheme.
