The RED RUN team is now full! If you have your own place in RED RUN then we would love to have you join us and run for Terrence Higgins Trust. Please let us know and we'll support you all the way.
Take Action. Lace Up.
Since 2009, East London’s HIV charity Positive East has organised the World AIDS Day RED RUN on the last weekend of November (just before World AIDS Day on 1 December). What began 13 years ago, with just 50 people running a 10K through Richmond Park, is now a large community event shared and enjoyed by thousands.
This event is a simple, flat and joyful chip-timed 10km or 5km fun run or 5km walk through leafy Victoria Park.
The World AIDS Day RED RUN is a celebration, an acknowledgement of work still to be done and an opportunity for each of us to remember those whose fight against HIV ended too soon. By joining this year, you can help us be here for people impacted by HIV today, tomorrow and into the future.
Anchoring the route itself is the RED RUN Village, where we can all gather before and after the event with music, drag superstars, refreshments and more.
Raise at least £150 and you’ll receive a free Terrence Higgins Trust running vest or cotton T-shirt.
Cheer on our team
We're also looking for volunteers to help cheer on our team at the RED RUN. If you'd like to be involved with the cheer squad, please email [email protected] to express your interest, including your full name and contact details.
How we'll support you
We’ll be here to support you from the moment you register until you cross that finish line.
We offer our runners a discount on sports massages from supporter Glenn Sontag, a trained sports massager and osteopath. Enjoy a massage with a 10% discount, with a further 10% going directly to us.
In the lead up to your challenge we’ll provide you with:
- A member of our team to support you with your training and fundraising.
- A free Terrence Higgins Trust running vest or cotton T-shirt if you raise £150.
- Opportunity to meet and make friends with like-minded people united behind the same good cause.
- Regular news and updates to keep you informed about our work, campaigns and services.
