How online counselling works
You'll need to register an account on the website.
Once you're registered, apply for online counselling from your dashboard. You’ll be asked a few questions about yourself and how you’re feeling.
The counsellor will review your application and get in touch with you. If you're accepted, you’ll be able to book your first appointment.
Counselling sessions take place over Skype - you can choose to use webcam, audio or instant messaging.
Once accepted, you will have appointments with the same counsellor. It's your safe space to talk.
Your counsellor will either be qualified with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy or the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
What you share with your counsellor is confidential. We will only ever tell other people what you've told us if you are at serious risk of hurting yourself, hurting others, or if we are legally required to. If this is the case your counsellor will try to talk this through with you first.
The information we collect
We use the data you provide specifically to deliver the service. The data we hold is kept for 12 months and then securely archived for a further five years in accordance with legal requirements and our policy.
