Thank you so much for your interest in fundraising for Terrence Higgins Trust. We ask everyone who is fundraising for us to be aware of and to comply with the following terms and conditions:
1. I agree that, in organising a fundraising activity (“Activity”), I am organising such Activity at my own risk as an independent supporter of Terrence Higgins Trust and I take full responsibility for organising and carrying out the Activity (including the health and safety aspects of such Activity). I will not hold Terrence Higgins Trust, their employees or their agents responsible for any injury, loss or harm resulting from me organising and carrying out the Activity. During the fundraising, I agree to refer to raising money "in aid of" Terrence Higgins Trust rather than “on behalf of” Terrence Higgins Trust.
2. I agree that I will fundraise in a manner that is appropriate to Terrence Higgins Trust and if asked to cease any fundraising activity I will do so immediately. I will not provide any sexual health advice and if asked I will supply members of the public with contact details for their local services.
3. I agree that I will comply with any instructions or guidance provided by Terrence Higgins Trust relating to my fundraising Activity, but it remains my responsibility to organise and carry out all aspects of the fundraising Activity.
4. I acknowledge and accept that Terrence Higgins Trust’s insurance policies do not cover my fundraising Activities.
5. I will comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the fundraising Activity, including obtaining any necessary licenses, consents or permissions (e.g. if holding a raffle or lottery, or if proposing to sell alcohol).
6. I hereby confirm that I am 18 years of age or older.
7. I acknowledge that I am responsible for all costs and expenses incurred or arising in connection with the Activity.
8. I shall pay all proceeds from the Activity to Terrence Higgins Trust as soon as reasonably possible and in any case within 28 days after the date(s) on which the Activity took place. All payments to Terrence Higgins Trust shall be made via debit or credit card, cheque, bank transfer or via a secure online fundraising page.
9. I agree that any materials supplied by Terrence Higgins Trust to me for the purpose of organising and carrying out the Activity will only be used by me in connection with that Activity and/or to carry out other fundraising Activities in aid of Terrence Higgins Trust. I acknowledge that Terrence Higgins Trust owns the intellectual property rights in all such materials.
10. I agree that Terrence Higgins Trust may use my contact details to contact me about my Activity.
11. I agree that if I provide Terrence Higgins Trust with any photographs or videos taken during my Activity, these may be used by Terrence Higgins Trust for fundraising purposes and I confirm that anyone appearing in such photographs or videos has consented to such use.
12. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude Terrence Higgins Trust's liability in respect of death or personal injury sustained as a direct result of the negligence, breach of statutory duty or fraudulent misrepresentation of Terrence Higgins Trust, its employees or agents or any deliberate act or omission of Terrence Higgins Trust, its employees or agents.
13. I will not do anything that may damage Terrence Higgins Trust's reputation or name. I agree that, in the event that Terrence Higgins Trust reasonably believes that the Activity may damage Terrence Higgins Trust’s name or reputation, I will stop the Activity immediately at the request of Terrence Higgins Trust.
